After having a mastectomy 15 years ago and through the excellent care I received, I wanted to give something back in return to show my gratitude to Professor David George of the Breast Care Unit and the Beatson Oncology Centre.

Having a couple of minor scares myself and having several friends who have been treated for cancer I decided this was a charity that I would personally like to do something for.

Alistair Don
Alistair is Doreen's husband and joined as a Director in October 2002 to look after the finances. He is eternally grateful to The Western Infirmary and The Beatson Oncology Centre for the care and treatment Doreen received some 15 years ago and is a willing supporter of her initiative in starting Breast Cancer 2000 and her determination to raise as much as possible for both units.
